The Town of Lockport Industrial Development Agency is a catalyst for economic development, having provided incentives resulting in the investment of over $84,000,000 in the Town of Lockport. The 12 assisted projects currently account for 361 jobs.
The Lockport Industrial Development Agency is governed by a seven-member Board of Directors, and has a full time professional staff trained to assist employers access to a variety of incentives, including industrial revenue bond financing, workforce training and site selection. In addition, the Town of Lockport imposes no Town tax for general local services – a tradition maintained for over 25 years.
The Lockport Industrial Development Agency works closely with other regional and state economic development agencies, including the Niagara County Center for Economic Development, Buffalo Niagara Enterprise and the Empire State Development Corporation. Combined, the Lockport Industrial Development Agency and its economic development partners are able to assemble a competitive economic development package for existing and prospective employers. |
